Places like Melt you can only find in Leblon. A lounge where models meat their admirers in a lounge with candles. Expensive drinks, colorful cocktails. On the 1st floor there is a, quite small for the number of people, dance floor.
The restaurant and bar are very popular with the “high class” people. The place is inspired by New York lounge bars: very dark, very relaxed, many sofas,… The music mixes samba with techno, hip-hop and funk. An ideal place to hook up with a Perua from Leblon, although having one will already help you getting through the long lines in the first place.

You cannot say you went to Rio without having joined a Rio Baile Funk party, a real one. Just don’t plan this on your 7 days first-time-in-Rio trip; the baile funk parties are not quite typically taking place in the upscale Rio clubs if you understand my grip.
The Favela on Blast movie which Diplo is currently canning in went on pre-screening in Brazil last October; even CNN picked it up. Expect this docu to hit Europa really soon and with it the Baile Funk music.

Pronounced zero-zero, this nightclub is located right next to the Planetarium in Gávea. The club has a large outdoor deck with wooden benches and comfortable recliners, perfect for those warm summer evenings. The inside space is divided into a restaurant area and a small bar and dance floor. The dance floor, alas, is not only small but also located in front of the bathroom doors. However, the fabulous outside space and beautiful people make up for that. Still, 00 is better as a bar than a club.
After too many samba places, I had a free night in Rio and a killer desire to be in a cool, hype and modern place. With contemporary cuisine (I had the greatest salmon burger ever!)Zero Zero is the ideal place to hang out away from all that traditional Brazilian joy. With a nice electro and lounge music playing, You’ll meet interesting and attractive people, taste exquisite drinks and have a lot of fun.
